THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...
* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, up to one foot of
inundation above ground level in vulnerable areas near the
waterfront and shoreline. For the Coastal Flood Statement, up to
one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in
vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.
* WHERE...Northeast Suffolk County.
* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 5 PM EST this
afternoon. For the Coastal Flood Statement, from midnight EST
tonight through late tonight.
* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Expect around 1 ft of inundation above
ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas this afternoon.
Several roads and low lying property including parking lots,
parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the
waterfront will experience flooding, with scattered road
closures likely. Vehicles parked in vulnerable areas near the
waterfront may become flooded.
* SHORELINE IMPACTS...Breaking waves of 2 to 4 ft along north
facing shorelines will result in beach erosion and wave
splashover over bulkheads and sea walls. Wave action could cause
locally moderate coastal flood impacts along north shoreline
roads and properties, with localized minor damage possible to
shoreline structures.
Time of high total tides are approximate to the nearest hour.

area expected to be localized and minor. Along north facing

* WHERE...Southwest Suffolk and Southeast Suffolk Counties.
* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 5 PM EST this
afternoon. For the Coastal Flood Statement, from 10 PM EST this
evening through late tonight.
* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Expect up to 1 1/2 ft of inundation
above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas this afternoon.
Several roads and low lying property including parking lots,
parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the
waterfront will experience flooding, with scattered road
closures likely. Vehicles parked in vulnerable areas near the
waterfront may become flooded.
* SHORELINE IMPACTS...Along the oceanfront, beach flooding and
erosion likely during tonight`s high tide. Dune erosion impacts
area expected to be localized and minor. Along north facing
shorelines of the south fork, breaking waves of 2 to 4 ft will
result in beach erosion and wave splashover over bulkheads and
sea walls.
